Project overview:
Thames Water is investing £400 million to upgrade Coppermills Water Treatment Works, which supplies a third of London’s drinking water. Works include a new pumping station, rapid-response infrastructure, an electricity substation and security upgrades. The seven-year project boosts reliability, supports population growth, and is designed to protect the nearby Lee Vally Special Protection Area.
